Representation /Litigation services:

Preparing and filing submissions, and representing before various direct tax authorities (including TP authorities) viz. Assessing Officer (‘AO’), TP Officer
(‘TPO’),Commissioner of Income-tax (‘CIT’), Commissioner of Income-tax (Appeals)
[‘CIT(A)’], Dispute Resolution Panel (‘DRP’), and indirect tax authorities such as SVB,
Adjudicating authority and Commissioner (Appeals), in relation to various notices which may be issued with respect to tax assessments/ appeals filed before various indirect tax authorities including Appellate authorities (‘Tax authorities’).

Assistance in preparing and filing applications as may be required under the Income-tax Act, 1961 (‘the Act’) before the AO/ TPO/ CIT and under the indirect-tax laws.

Assistance in connection with scrutiny proceedings initiated by the IRA in respect of taxes deducted at source on various expenses incurred.

Preparing and filing objections before the DRP, appeals/ cross objections before the Appellate authorities such as CIT(A), Income-tax Appellate Tribunal (‘ITAT’), High Court (‘HC’) and the Supreme Court of India (‘SC’).

Reviewing orders passed by the aforesaid direct tax authorities (including appellate authorities) and preparing a review memorandum with respect to the same.

Assistance in applying for, representing the case and obtaining WHT orders (on behalf of client) from the Indian Revenue Authorities (‘IRA’) specifying the rate at which taxes should be withheld by client from payments to be made to non-residents, as and when required

Briefing and assisting the Counsel (as appointed by client) in collating further facts and representing client before the DRP, CIT(A), ITAT, HC and SC, as the case may be.

Assisting client in appointing the Senior Counsel and briefing the Counsel for filing an appeal on indirect tax matters before the Customs, Excise and Service tax Appellate Tribunal (‘CESTAT’), HC and SC.
